Hey guys!
At the end of my last weekend before the finals, I’d like to tell you all about the great stuff that happened this week.
On Monday night, CMT (Clark Musical Theatre) announced their Fall show – Sweeney Todd; The Demon Barber of Fleet Street!! It’s one of my all-time favorite musicals, I can’t wait to see it, aaah!!!
On Wednesday, OPEN brought in speakers from SpeakOUT Boston, who talked about their own experiences as queer individuals and their thoughts on some issues relating to family and marriage equality. It was really great to be able to listen to different stories and learn about different people’s experiences, and I really hope one day I can at least get an internship with SpeakOUT Boston!
On Thursday, I finally got a chance to see Clark’s Visual & Performing Arts’s production of The Tempest. It was absolutely amazing in all its details – from the way the black box theater was transformed to how talented all the actors were.
On Friday… Well, let me tell you about Friday. I (with Branden and Maria) finally went to the amazing concert in Lowell. It was a concert with four absolutely AMAZING bands who I’ve wanted to see live for so long: You Me at Six, Mayday Parade, All Time Low, and once again, Pierce the Veil!! It was one of the best shows I’ve been to, hands down. It was a great deal, too, with less than $10 per band!
Back to Clark, on Saturday, I got to see Hip Hop Collabo’s awesome 10-year-anniversary show. The dancer in me screamed and shouted as tens of gorgeous people took the stage and owned it. I wish I’d been trained for hip hop, it seems so great every time I go to watch a show!
And, tonight, last but not least: I watched the Creative Actor class’s final performance! (Final, as in… it’s their final grade.) Everyone in it was… you’ve guessed it, wonderful. It was a great night, ending with my very first OPEN e-board meeting [say hi to next year’s secretary!] and the newest episode of Game of Thrones!
I seem to be running out of positive words to describe people and events, I might need to invest in a thesaurus or something. But, to be fair, everything IS wonderful, and amazing, and just generally awesome… I’m getting sad just thinking about how soon we’re all leaving. Have a great week, everyone, I know I won’t – three finals, and entering the last week of the semester? No thanks!
